A Mixed Media piece of art on a 6x12 Etcetera Thickboard

Come join Daniela in creating a beautiful mixed media piece! Featuring Tim Holtz, Prima, Finnabair and more. You'll get to play with Relics and Artifacts and turn the 6 x 12 Etcetera Tag Board into pieces of art. No experience needed! Bring with you a normal tool kit which should include a heavy duty wet adhesive like E6000, paintbrushes in different sizes and your imagination and you'll be amazed at what these products can do.

A Copic marker class using Sherry Baldy's My Besties Fluffies. 
These sweet girls are at the beach sunbathing, relaxing and doing the hula. 
You will be learning copic marker blending techniques, 
clouds with Pan Pastels and of course you add some diecuts and 
bling to take these cards up a notch. 
You should bring adhesive ( tape runner, glue, pop dots ), scissors. 
If you have copic markers you can bring those, make sure yours are well marked. 
A full list of markers you will using will be at the store.

You will be transforming a plain picture frame with

Join us to make this quaint glimpse of nostalgia, using Tim Holtz' "Vignette Tray". You'll paint, cut, color, glue and embellish, evoking times past in this keepsake. Customize and make this a very special heirloom piece by bringing your own vintage family photo, instead of choosing from a wide variety of old photos in Tim Holtz' "Paper Dolls" collection (supplied).

Do you love Mardi Gras? Crazy about masks? 
Or just a huge fan of the purple and turquoise color combination? 
Then this card workshop is for you!!

Cost $35

With Janice you'll be making 3 vibrant cards and 1 tag, using Graphic 45's "Midnight Masquerade" papers. . . featuring a color combination that is absolutely stunning! You'll use lots of extra touches on these papers, such as copper foil diecuts and yummy deep purple silk ribbons embellished with an aqua flower, glitter (to your taste), and fussy cuts. One of the cards is a really fun and unusual fold, finished at 4" x 6" size and the other 2 are 5 x 7 cards. The tag will be a decorated Graphic 45 tag, to use on a card of your own making, with leftover scraps, or by itself as a gift tag.

This amazing artist from Arizona is coming to teach her 
amazing techniques on making jewelry with Shrinkets, beads and metals, and a doll that you will proudly display. See the pictures below, or come by the store and check

Class #1 - Friday May 19th 
6 pm to 9 pm
Ebony & Ivory Bracelet
In  this class you will create 10 shrink plastic heart charms in a vintage West India botanical style. These will be colored in black ivory and white. The hearts art precut using opulent  Shrinkets shrink plastic. A detailed template is part of the kit .The kit also come with 10 hand made beaded wire wrapped charms and 10 metal heart charms. All are attached to a linked bracelet.
All the materials  you need to make this project are in your kit.

Class #2 - Saturday May 20th 
8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Fairy Necklace

Fairy is 4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide.  In this class you will make 2 shrink plastic beads using  the SHRINKETS mold.  You will also make a pair of iridescent shrink plastic fairy
wings and mold them to fit on the dolls back.  Beaded arms and legs are created and strung on flex wire.  Assemblage techniques are also taught. 
A hand made resin covered cabochon doll head is also included in your kit.

Class #3 - Saturday May 20th
1 pm - 7 pm
"Wrap my Heart in Flowers "
 You will start by cutting out a heart using 24 gauge copper and tin snips. You then will sweat 
solder hammered copper nails to the back edge of the heart allowing these to 
stick out around the perimeter. You then add steel annealed wire wrapped lines to the 
nails forming a cage around the heart. The heart is then distressed using metal aging patina.  
 A shrink plastic bloom and 2 leaves will be created. 
Colored pencils are used to add patterns and color to the leaves and bloom. 
A Shrinkets molds is used to form the flower bloom. 
 An oval base is cut out and punched from Julie’s shrink plastic opulent collection. 
All are layered and attached to the heart using beading and cold connection techniques. 
 A chain necklace is added. Beaded links will be created depending on the 
time each person has once the pendant is completed. The beads will be part of your 
kit and you may opt to do the links later if you do not have the time in class. 
 All materials and supplies will be provided by the Julie. 
Julie will bring torches and soldering stations to share. If you do not want to share 
please fell free to bring your own. You use a simple Creme brûlé style cooking torch and solder block.  
 Cost $125
Classs #4 Sunday May 21st
10 am to 5 pm
"Day Dream Believer"

We will create a cage doll skirt using steal annealed wire and wire wrapping techniques. The body is  made of wood and her hat and arms will be rolled using paper clay. The dolls head is made of plaster and is pre-cast (for you project) from a mold Julie uses for her doll heads.The Doll heads my be purchased for your future doll making projects. Once she as assembled, laces, ribbon, buttons and beading bring her to a dreamy finish .
All the  material and tools are supplied by the instructor to make the class project.

Cost is $125
